8th PASTORAL ANNIVERSARY ANNOUNCEMENT
This is a friendly reminder that you are invited to join the Deacon Ministry in celebrating the 8th Pastoral Anniversary of our pastor, the Rev. Kenneth C. Curry, Jr., on Sunday, September 26th. Our theme this year is Celebrating Strong & Courageous Leadership in Unprecedented Times, inspired by Joshua 1:9. We ask that you consider joining us in acknowledging our pastor with a monetary gift and with your participation in the day’s festivities.
If you choose to give a monetary gift, please use the Pastor’s Appreciation Day envelope provided at church and available for pick up at the church office. We pray that you would consider giving a $10 gift, a $20 gift, a $100, or even a $1,000 gift; whatever the Lord places on your heart, we want to show our pastor love monetarily. If you give online, please be sure to choose Pastor’s Anniversary from the drop-down menu to ensure the gift is credited appropriately to you.
We especially ask that you are present at our 8:00am & 11:30am services on that day! The Rev. Dr. Karen Elizabeth Stewart, First Lady and Director of Evangelism and Discipleship, at First Institutional Baptist Church in Phoenix, AZ will be our guest preacher. She will preach for both the 8am service, and the 11:30am service. These services will also be available on all standard streaming platforms, including wearefriendship.church/live, the We Are Friendship Church app, Facebook, and YouTube.
If you can, please consider coming to Friendship for worship and our refreshment hour OUTSIDE from 9:45am to 11:15am. Be assured we will observe ALL safety guidelines. Ex-Hour will be canceled on that Sunday for both in-person and online classes. I pray you will plan to join us. If you attend the 11:30 service, plan to come early and enjoy the SAFE fellowship! AMEN! This is also a great time to drop off any cards or gifts for Pastor Curry, including those in the Pastor’s Appreciation Day envelopes.
We pray that you will join us in encouraging, lifting, and admonishing our pastor for his outstanding service to the Friendship church over these last eight years. We look forward to seeing you on Sunday, September 26th, for a great time in the Lord.
